Free weekly meditations
Join the Avani community every Thursday evening at 9pm, set the stage by lighting your candles and incense in the comfort of your own home, settle onto your meditation seat in the knowledge that others will be doing the same to send positive intentions out into the world, to build a community that has the sole intention of spreading harmony, love, tolerance and understanding …
Each week I will post a suggested meditation, chant or reflection. They will be in tune with the season or time of the month and offered for you to connect deeply with yourself, those around you and the earth itself. Through meditation we can connect to our innermost feelings, awareness and needs – we can consciously seek the direction we wish to go, bringing our physical and spiritual lives into balance – helping us to connect to our intuition, inner wisdom and personal power.
SEVA (SELFLESS SERVICE)
“Seva” is a sanskrit word meaning “selfless service” or work performed without any thought of reward or payment. In ancient India, Seva was believed to help ones spiritual growth and at the same time contribute to the improvement of a community. This is the art of giving with no need to recieive, where the act itself is a gift to everyone involved. Seva is the art of blessed action!
These meditations are offered in that spirit – they are FREE and open to all that wish to participate.
