Yoga Nidra is a great treasure – it offers a space to explore what you need in the moment, as well as an opportunity to work on releasing long-held emotions.
Yoga Nidra takes us effortlessly into a state of harmonious, restful being. From here, we can be healed, restored and awakened to our deepest, all-knowing, all-welcoming self.
The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis) – the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness. As we rest here, we can turn our attention easily and effortlessly to the very nature of awareness and consciousness. We start to experience the ‘deeper’ features of yogic teachings that previously we perhaps considered intangible, such as feeling our interconnected wholeness and becoming aware of our true, unified nature – expansive, inclusive, and deeply restful.
The practices below are offered for you to use freely. They are a collection taken from the students final teaching shares from my Teacher Training courses, from my personal store and also those offered freely from the beautiful Yoga community. Everyone who has taken the time to record and offer practice whole heartedly agrees as I do that Yoga Nidra is indeed a great treasure!

During this practice of Yoga Nidra we are guided on a journey around the many layers of our Being. Exploring sensations feelings and emotions that reside within us. Experiencing and bearing witness to all of these qualities without judgement or attachment but with the understanding that we have everything we need within us.
The invitation for our journey today is a deep exploration of Self. An opportunity to reacquaint ourselves with our own totally personal truth. Cultivating our deepest intentions and desires so that they can be reignited in our minds and our hearts both on and off the mat. It’s from this place of profound rest that we are able to truly hear and attend to our most intimate desires without the distractions of modern daily life.

Today the focus of this practice will include observing a particular belief that you might hold about yourself… a belief or notion that you take to be true… so take a moment now to pause, and see if a particular idea or belief naturally arises in this moment… and if it does reflect on this belief or notion…
During this practice let my voice guide you to notice what’s going on in your inner world – noticing sensations, noticing your breath, and becoming aware of passing emotions and thoughts, as you move in to the witness state, welcoming all that arises, however that may be.
